I shamelessly ripped off Dutch’s design. But I did build it using hardware I bought from him! This is a great design though, so I am leaving a review. It’s a simple way to get into splicing dyneema, which is a really cool skill to have for any kind of camping. I use this even when I am tent camping. Usually I actually use it to hang a gravity filter bag and not my pack! Super useful and for just a couple grams, I always bring it along. I get annoyed at reviews that say something weighs “nothing”, but this comes damn close. I also made some for friends and they love them too! Pick up some cord, a small hook, and splicing hooks from dutch’s shop. I really like the set of differently sized splicing hooks. They’re useful for all kinds of things too, like getting an extra strand of cord through a small cord lock. I have not found a need for the expensive set of splicing needles, but I have also only been working with the small cord.
